Lorie was sitting on her parent’s bed having a cigarette; she had been told that she wasn't to smoke, ever. But it was 1955 and Lorie at 19 thought that she was quite old enough to smoke and do as she liked. She was an adult after all, or at least she thought so. As for her parents thinking so, that was another story. Her mother secretly smoked and if her father ever found out the Beth, Lorie's mother did smoke she wouldn't be able to sit down for a week, if she was lucky.

Beth was out at her afternoon bridge club. She wouldn't be home for a couple of hour. The door flew open and there stood Beth. "Lorie Gardner, just what do you think you're doing?"

Lorie looks to her mother. "I think I'm having one of your smokes. What does it look like I'm doing?"

Beth walks over to her and snatches it from her mouth, going into the bathroom and flushing it down the toilet. Coming back out of the bathroom, Beth confronts her daughter. "Lorie just what do you think your father would do to you if he caught you smoking."

Lorie stands up. "Mother he's not going to catch me smoking."

"And just what if I tell him what I just caught you doing."

Isla: The Wicked Warden (1977) is a Canadian production filmed in Switzerland and set in South America, with an international cast that includes Dyanne Thorne, Tania Busselier, Angela Ritschard, Sandra L. Brennan, Lina Romay, Howard Maurer, Peggy Markoff, and Jesus Franco himself, as Dr. Arkos.

Jess Franco, or to use his full name, Jesús Franco Manero, is one of Europe's foremost B-grade directors, and one of the world's most prolific, with a staggering 180 plus feature films made since 1959 under his own name or one of his many pseudonyms. Condemned (along with Luis Buñuel) by the Catholic Church of the 1970s as the world's "most dangerous filmmaker", Franco made exploitative nudity, grotesque horror and Sadistic nastiness his stock in trade, and so it was inevitable that he would collaborate with actress Dyanne Thorne, whose notorious series of Ilsa films featured all these motifs in abundance.

As far as politically incorrect movies are concerned, this one (and the entire "series", for that matter) must rank as one of the most incorrect ever. Technically since it isn't a prison of any kind, but a hospital for the criminally insane, she isn't a warden. She'd be more of a head superintendent. But warden sounds better in the title than head superintendent.

Uses same sets as Frauengefängnis (1975).

Strange, depraved vision of Jess Franco's concerning Ilsa, that wicked, blouse-popping sadist of the famous/infamous series starring statuesque/bosom Dyanne Thorne. There are many scenes which are downright disgusting such as: one dealing with the use of a plastic bag, another with pins and a human pin cushion, shock therapy, a night with the boys from the local prison, and the grand finale where Ilsa/Greta (Thorne) is out to lunch with the girls. She is literally eaten alive by the inmates.

Dyanne Thorne said in a number of interviews that Jess Franco left the camera running when she was taking her bath in this movie. There is out there somewhere footage of her getting out of the bath tub, with full frontal and back nudity. If anyone has it, please put it up on YouTube for those interested in Miss Dyanne Thorne to see.

Although I wouldn't say that ILSA is exactly a good film, I was still quite surprised by how it managed to hold my interest throughout. Not that it made particularly inspired use of the various subtexts suggested in the script (the snuff movie angle, for instance, is not dealt with in any depth) – apart from its over-the-top, and undeniably horrific, conclusion – but it was certainly above-average for an Erwin C. Dietrich

I would have added a number of scenes which showed more punishments, which the aficionado of BDSM would like. Spankings, floggings, shower scenes, cat fight with a punishment ending it, Ilsa getting beaten to death in the end (See My Scenario At Bottom Of This Page For This.)

There was in plans a fourth official film under the title "Ilsa Meets Bruce Lee in the Devil's Triangle", unfortunately it never got made. Google it and read about this non existing movie. ?????

My Scenario:

This is a different ending to the movie than Jess Franco and Erwin C. Dietrich, who co wrote Ilsa: The Wicked Warden (1977) with Franco imagined. But my perverted spanko mind came up with this ending.

As the totally insane Abbie Phillips is taken out of the asylum by two of police officers, escorted by her personal doctor, Ilsa looks down from her window. She hears something behind her. She turns around and it is a large group of the other inmates. Lead by number 43, Juana. "What do you lot want. Get back to your rooms or I'll have the lot of you flogged."

Juana points to Ilsa. Grab her and take her down to the punishment rooms. Three of the larger women grab Ilsa and off the group goes down the hall and down into the basement where the punishment rooms are. Ilsa screams as she is dragged off. "Get your hands off me. You'll pay for this. Believe me you'll pay for this indignity."

Once in the punishment rooms, Ilsa is taken into one of the larger cells. Juana points to a punishment bench in the center of the room. The bench is nothing more than a wrist/head and ankle stocks. The three women put Ilsa into this stock. "Let me go, I'll have your hides skinned for this. Help! Help! Help!."

Ilsa screams for help, but none of her staff comes. They have all fled. The police might be arresting them and they do not want to be anywhere near the asylum when the police get there. Only Ilsa, being so arrogant, stayed around. She didn't think that anyone could harm her.

But that doesn't stop her from screaming. "Help! Help! Heelp! Heeelp! Heeeelp! Heeeeeeeelp!"

Once Ilsa has been secured in the stocks, Juana pulls a knife that she had gotten from the kitchen, out of her waist. Ilsa sees the knife and her eyes get as big as saucers. "No wait. What are you going to do with that thing."

Juana puts the knife up to Ilsa's throat. "I know what they'd like to do to your hide. Skin it. But I've got a lot better plan."

She then cuts all of Ilsa's cloths off her. Every stitch. She drops the knife on the floor. Juana then goes over to the wall and takes down a razor strap off its hook. Ilsa sees the strap. "Noooooo."

She'd used it on every one of the women standing around her, at least once in their stay at the asylum. Juana goes over beside Ilsa. She raises the strap into the air and brings it down on Ilsa's backside.

Crack. "EEEEEOOOOOIIIII." Crack. "EEEEEOOOOOIIIII." Crack. "EEEEEOOOOOIIIII." Crack. "EEEEEOOOOOIIIII." Crack. "EEEEEOOOOOIIIII."

As Juana beat Ilsa's backside, Ilsa screeched out in pain. The pain was more than Ilsa could stand. Even then, Juana didn't beat Ilsa as hard as Ilsa had beaten those she had under her thumb. But the pain was more than Ilsa could handle.

Ilsa's was losing her mind, the pain would shoot through her ass and down her legs. Ilsa peed herself. She wasn't thinking any more. Only screaming and crying as the razor strap made contact with her ass.

Juana ushered the woman out of the punishment room. "We'll be back later tonight when she's regained consciousness."

Out the group went. But in the corner there remained one woman. Juana hadn't seen her standing in the darkness. This woman went over and stood in front of Ilsa. She picked up the knife that Juana had dropped on the floor and put it next to Ilsa's throat. Slitting her throat from ear to ear. She then dropped the knife and scurried along to catch up to Juana and the other women.

Ilsa died there in the punishment rooms. The life gone from her cold dead body.

Marcella Granger was out shopping for a new party dress. She needed one for her 30th birthday party on June 9; she had been born in 1926. She had found the one she liked; it was fire engine red with white trim around the bodice. She went to her husband’s photographic studio to show him.

Jim Bendix was spending the summer of 1957 working at the beach, as a life guard. It was how he was going to afford his second year at university. He was 20 and enjoyed his work immensely. Penny looked at up at her brother, sitting up in his life guard chair, high above the others around him. He was talking with a woman. "Katie look at my brother, he's not even looking at the beach. I bet that he wouldn't even know if I was drowning."

Katie looks at the life guard. "Oh I think he knows what he's doing. I was talking with him before you came and he seems to be quite attentive."

Plot:

A team of Beautiful women softball players, Laura Albert, Shelley Abblet, Rhyve Sawyer, Julie Hall, Paula Manga, Sabrina Hills, Randi Randolph And Lisa Zambrano, get lost in the woods after their bus breaks down. A baseball team of gorgeous women arrives in a small town, sets up a game against a rough team of rednecks, and wins. The guys get even by killing the babes' coach. The girls respond in kind and a bounty is put on their heads which brings every macho hunter and mercenary out looking for them. But these dudes have underestimated their opponents.

They get attacked, beaten, raped and murdered by some psychotic men. The men attacking them are the group of local men's softball players that they beat in a game the day before.

The women fight back with baseball bats and bows and arrows. They kick ass and those left walk off into the sunset.

Healthy doses of violence and nudity propel the flimsy story.

At first glance, Blood Games (1990) might look a low-budget version of Deliverance with some kind of feminist spin. Unfortunately, the pseudo-feminism of the script is quickly compromised with the first sight of the protagonists, who are almost all played by actresses cast primarily because of their physical appearances, which indicates that Blood Games used to be made mostly for the male audience. However, any audience, whether it is male or female, is going to be disappointed with this film's atrocious acting and utterly predictable plot. Not even the nudity helps, and few humorous scenes failed to turn Blood Games into unintentional parody of itself.

The outdoor scenes were filmed in Sequoia National Forest, California, USA, while the baseball game was shot in Shaver Lake, California, USA.

Plot:

(Catherine Deneuve) Séverine Serizy, happily married to a handsome young surgeon, Pierre Serizy (Jean Sorel). She loves her husband dearly, but cannot bring herself to be physically intimate with him. Séverine is a young middle-class woman in a happy, but apparently unconsummated, marriage. Taunted by sado-masochistic fantasies, she becomes a daytime prostitute, and soon falls in love with one of her clients, a violent gangster type, going to work in a house of ill repute, actually an intimate apartment. The money involved is less the motivation than the pretext for her action.

Pierre, her husband, provides for her material needs handsomely, but his respectfully temporizing caresses fail to satisfy her psychic need for brutal degradation, a need first awakened by a child molester when she was eight. To preserve a facade of marital respectability, Séverine works at her obsessive profession only afternoons from two to five, the mystery of her matinee schedule causing her to be christened Belle De Jour.

Belle de Jour dramatizes the collision between depravity and elegance, one of the favorite themes of director Luis Buñuel. This is a very unusual film, where the director Luis Bunuel plays intriguing games with one's notions of normal convention and fantasy. As the film progresses and the viewer is persuaded to accept increasingly unlikely events as reality, the distinction between fantasy and reality is ultimately merged. Luis Bunuel's masterpiece of erotica. Director Luis Buñuel's first film in color, Belle de Jour also kicked off the last phase of his great career, which produced some of his most popular films (The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie and That Obscure Object of Desire). Catherine Deneuve serves Buñuel here as Grace Kelly did Alfred Hitchcock, as the glacially beautiful blonde who is barely concealing smoldering desires

In the rape scene, her dress was fitted with Velcro to give off a tearing sound as it was ripped away. In most subtitled versions of the film, an italicized font is used to help the audience spot Séverine's fantasies from reality.

According to Luis Buñuel scholar Julie Jones, Buñuel once said that he himself didn't know what the end exactly means. Director Cameo: (Luis Buñuel) Sitting in the outdoor café when the Duke (Georges Marchal) gets off his carriage.

"Belle De Jour" is a day lily in French, a flower that blooms only by day, as Séverine is available only during the afternoons. "Belle De Jour" is also a sort of pun, as it reminds us of "belle de nuit", a euphemism for prostitute. The movie is an adaptation of the book Belle De Jour by the writer, Joseph Kessel.

Continuity: Marcel (Pierre Clémenti) breaks the glass and oval frame to vent his anger. The same frame and picture are unbroken later.
Continuity: When Pierre and Séverine kiss goodnight the position of the pillow behind her neck changes.

Continuity: When the client that wants to be spanked rejects Belle Du Jour she puts her robe back on but not her bra. Then when she sees the Asian client a few moments later, she takes off her robe and her bra is on.
Continuity: When Monsieur Adolphe (Francis Blanche) first unzips Belle's dress she has a slip under it, but when she rushes out and then comes back in, Adolphe unzips her dress again and she isn't wearing the slip anymore.

Revealing mistakes: When Séverine and friend are in the cab, the projected background in the cab does not match the exterior as seen when Séverine gets out.

Séverine looks at the clock, it's 2:58, he's about two minutes early.

There was a knock on the door. She turns. "Enter little man."

The door opens and in steps her next client. Oh god, she thinks to herself. It's Pierre her husband.

Pierre steps forward. "Séverine, oh my, you’re Belle De Jour."

Séverine walks over to her husband. "Yes I am. Since you don't seem to want me, I've decided to go where I can get sex."

Pierre shakes his head. He looks around the room and spots on the end table a large wooden hairbrush. He picks it up and rolls up his sleeve. Instinctively Séverine's hand goes over her backside. She points at the hairbrush. "What are you going to do with that thing."
